I Tame Impala, la band australiana che ha rivoluzionato il rock con la sua psichedelia liquida, ha fatto ritorno sulla scena musicale con Currents.
Preceduto dai singoli Let It Happen, Cause I'm a Man, Disciples e Eventually, l'album è stato pubblicato lo scorso 17 Luglio via Modular/Caroline/Universal.
Come i lavori precedenti, Currents è stato accolto con entusiasmo dalla critica, debuttando al primo posto in Australia, al terzo nel Regno Unito, e al quarto negli Stati Uniti.
Currents è apparso in tutte le classifiche dei migliori Album del 2015, entrando nella Top 5 di Q Magazine (#1), Spin (#4), Mojo (#4), Pitchfork (#5), Consequence of Sound (#5) e NME (#5).
Agli ARIA Music Awards di quest'anno, l'album è stato premiato come Best Rock Album e Best Album, Kevin Parker si è aggiudicato il titolo di Engineer of the Year e Producer of the Year, mentre i Tame Impala sono stati nominati Best Group.
